At Severed Mapping, your safety – and your vehicle’s – is our number one priority. Every mobile tuning session begins with a comprehensive risk assessment to make sure conditions are safe and your vehicle is fit for the work.

Your car must be roadworthy before tuning can take place. This includes having sufficient engine oil, correct coolant levels, safe tyres, and no major mechanical issues. If your vehicle does not meet these minimum checks, we may have to refuse or postpone service until the problems are resolved. This is to prevent potential damage and to ensure a safe, reliable result.

Full diagnostic scan are always carried out before any remapping we conduct. This allows us to identify existing faults or warning codes that could interfere with our process. If unexpected issues are found, we will explain them clearly and work with you to decide the best course of action—whether that means resolving the fault first, adjusting the plan, or rescheduling the job.

For insurance and accountability purposes, we take photographs of your vehicle before tuning begins. These are kept securely in our records and will never be shared publicly. They exist solely to protect both you and our business should any dispute arise.

By following these steps, we ensure every job is completed safely, professionally, and to the highest standards—giving you peace of mind that your car is in the right hands.

Disclaimer

Our remapping service is provided with a 100% software guarantee, meaning we stand behind the quality and reliability of the tuning files we supply. However, we cannot accept responsibility for any pre-existing issues, wear and tear, or unrelated mechanical failures (e.g. suspension, clutch, brakes, or other components) that may occur after a remap. Vehicle hardware must be in good health before tuning, and it is the owner’s responsibility to ensure their car is properly maintained.
